Thanksgiving Blessing

Thanksgiving Blessing is an annual event hosted by Food Bank of Alaska and provides free Thanksgiving meals to over 10,000 families in Anchorage and Mat-SuValley. Food Bank of Alaska coordinates 12 distribution sites (churches and community centers) where families can pick up everything needed for a Thanksgiving meal-turkey, stuffing, potatoes, and canned vegetables. Kendall Auto of Alaska’s sponsorship allowed Food Bank of Alaska to purchase turkeys for 350 families! In addition to sponsoring Thanksgiving Blessing, community relations manager-John Guintu-delivered thanksgiving meal items directly to the homes of residents unable to drive to a distribution site
